The blazer has a leak at the top of the transmission when running. The stick level, when cold is showing a level where it should be when hot.The transmission screen was changed at 30,000 miles. The truck now has 76,000 miles on it.i think the trans. screen needs changed.Any advice?

the only place i can think of is the vent tube. should never leak there.
servicing it would be good. the level is a little high but should not cause the high leak.

take it to a shop and let them examine it and give you a bid.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE PUMP IN THE TRANS WENT BAD THAT WILL CAUSE IT TO BLOW TRAANY FLUID OUT OF VENT TUBE. ID BE HAPPY TO INSTALL A USED TRANNY FOR YOU OR REMOVE YOURS AND REFER U TO A GOOD CHEAP REBUILDER. BRETT ARCTIC FREEZE MY CELL IS 727 692 6589
The vent hole is the only place your transmission can be leaking from the top. When that happens it is usually an over filled transmission, clogged vent hole, or transmission pump failure. Their is a valve inside the transmissions pump that may be stuck and causing it to leak. I would recommend a transmission flush first and then go from there. If the transmission is shifting properly and its not over heating then you might just need to service it.
