car runs fine 20 min or so then won't shift into 4th..stop park it and fine at restart until about 20 minuets then won't shift again... help.

An Autzone or Amco transmission shop in our area advertise the check the codes for free, get a second opinion and post the codes then maybe someone can help. Codes will look like P0420 or P1135.

POSSIBLE SHIFT SOLENOID PROBLEM. ARE THERE ANY TRANS CODES?

don't know how to check codes, the mech said, bad tranny, then "$2,000.00 please". but the oil not burned, and still shifts, so I don't trust mechanic...who can I trust? or where can I get codes checked? In Muncie area?
