Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
The line on the radiator came off and all the fluid came out the car would not move. we added 9 quarts and the car will only move when it is reved. How many quarts does the trans hold if we lost it all?

According to reference tables I have (not being a Mercedes expert, to first be honest!), I show anywhere from 7.5 - 9.5 quarts of fluid in the transmission.

If you put 9 quarts in, it would seem that the transmission should operate. It could be overfilled, potentially, however.

Or, if the transmission was operated without fluid for a period of time at all -- damage could have been sustained.
