Tranny shift trouble

(1990 Nissan Maxima)
I have a 1990 maxima that will shift fine from first to second but feels like it goes into nuetral when it trys to shift into third. New revolution sensor, used tranny and tcm without change. Any ideas?

dose it have a automatic kickdown

No automatic kickdown. we have checked for trouble codes and nothing comes up. We just replaced gaskets on tranny when we found air flow inside and checked for codes once again and nothing. Also replaced inhibitor switch recently.
