Southeast toyota distributors, llc (set) is recalling certain 2015-2018 toyota 4runner vehicles equipped with an accessory billet grille overlay installed by set or provided by set and installed by set dealers. the u-nut that secures the overlay grille may fracture, allowing the billet grille overlay to detach from the vehicle.

The accessory installed Billet grille overlay, if equipped, has a U-nut that secures it. This nut can fracture allowing the grille to separate from the vehicle. This could cause a road hazard and increase risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your Toyota must be performed by a Toyota dealership. Toyota will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in January, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Toyota recall number is SET17C.
