Ticking noise when trying to jump start

Is this ticking noise normal when trying to jump start the car?

It usually means that there is not enough current in your battery and the jump starting battery to crank the engine and the clicking is the starter solenoid contacts bouncing or rattling. Try letting the jump car run for 20 minutes to charge up your Mustang's battery and then try to start your car. Most jumper cables can't carry enough juice to start a car, they really just boost the jumped battery.
