Hello,
I suspect the windshield wiper switch (the one you turn to make the wipers come on) has failed, and is likely shorting to the on position internally.
If you notice that bumps make the wipers come on (go hit some light bumps), then I would suspect the pigtail (wiring) for the wiper switch or wiper motor has failed.
Test, test, test, don't just buy parts.
If you are unsure how to test the circuit, bring it for diagnosis. It may surprise you how quickly the diagnostics go on something like this, and you can decide who fixes the issue after diagnosis.
