MESSAGE FROM THE SHOP

The First person your likely to meet coming in the door is Sherry Gilbert -
Co-Owner and President of The Black Forest.

The Black Forest has been in business in Auburn California since 1981. Paul & Sherry Gilbert moved here in the summer of '81' to raise their two sons in the best environment they could find.

Son Jason now manages our shop as the head technician. Enjoying a wonderful life here in Auburn, Paul & Sherry are actively involved in our local community. Both Sherry and Paul are graduates of "Leadership Auburn". Sherry is the past president of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and had the longest presidents term (18 months) in the history of the Auburn Chamber. Both Paul & Sherry have chaired Auburn's Premier Event... Auburn's Black and White Ball.

Thanks to our son Jason, our service facility has become the most progressive shop in the local area in keeping up with the technical advances of today's complex automobiles. We have the equipment to support all of the computer diagnostics of the makes and models we service. We often have referrals from local Sacramento Volvo, BMW and local Mercedes Dealers as they know we are the only shop in the area with the knowledge and equipment to service the later models.

For any vehicle owner, the distinction between auto maintenance and auto repair is critical to ensuring a long and healthy life for their preferred method of transportation. Both are essential in the smooth operation of a vehicle, but the terms are often confused for one another, which can lead some owners to pay more than they should over time.

Auto maintenance is a broad term that covers regular and preventative actions taken to help keep a car that is running properly stay running. This maintenance can include things such as oil changes, transmission flushes, as well as annual inspections and tire rotations. All of these services help to keep a car that is running smoothly stay that way, and help prevent the need for auto repair.

We perform all aspects of repair.
