The altenator keeps going bad on this ford, replaced it 3 times now and the

wires that plug into it after I checked to make sure they had proper voltage, also replace bulb in the dash, altenator only lasts for about 2-3 months, could this be a computer problem, ignition switch problem??? I'm not a total idiot when working on vehicles but this ones got me stumpped!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated....Ray

Try a better alt. also check the elect. connector for signs of heat, melting. Connector is aval. at parts store. This is important!-Have battery load tested and each cell's specific gravity checked with a hydrometer, even if you think it is ok!!
