Q: TBI 3.1 V6 1990 Chevy Lumina APV on 1990 Chevrolet Lumina APV

Replaced IAC. Car now pulsates when idling between 900 and 1700 RPM's. Car has now been running like this for 25 minutes.

Why did you replace the IAC? You might try the older one to see if the car runs any better.

When ever I work on a car and the new part makes the car run really crazy I always try the old part right away, to see. New parts can be defective, especially if they are not factory parts.
IAC was carbed up.
Before replacing the IAC you had to keep pumping the gas pedal to keep the car running.
In prior questions about this problem the suggestions were to replace the IAC. Now it starts up but the idle goes from from 900 RPM's to 1800 RPM's, pulsates down. Still have to pump gas pedal occasionally to keep car running.
