Before i would push the button to open and the sunroof would open all the way now it only opes half way and i have to press the button again to make it fully open, it does the same thing when it closes. Is there any way to reset the sunroof to go back to factory settings?

More than likely it is an open circuit in the flex wire loom. When the sunroof opens to this point the wire connection will go away.
Not an easy fix.
Just in case they had anything goofy like Honda did on there Pilots---check with dealer for any service bulletins. The Honda Pilot had very similar issue as far as open/close. In most cases the repair was a software update for the 'moonroof control module'.I don't know of any customer-to this point- that has been charged for this update. Also it is a very annoying procedure (until you've done it 1/2 dozen times) to reset the 'auto' function (on the Pilot).
This may not be the same problem, but I thought I would throw this out in the event someone had the same problem as I. I had a problem with the 'pop-up' cycle for ventilation. It would not fully open. Once it did open and I lubricated the slide rails with a waterproof grease. My problem solved. It is a cheap fix even though your problem sounds a little different, the extra grease will not hurt and worth a try.
