Kinked and deteriorating rear drain tubes from the moonroof are causing water to collect on the rearseat floor on my 2008 Dodge Avenger. Dealer wants $980.00 to fix tubes and remove and dry out carpets. Headliner must be partially lowered and seats removed to do this. One inch of rain water collects in rear seat floor pan depression. The fix on the kinked hose is to place a harder tubing over the kinked hose if the kinked part is not leaking. If the kinked part is leaking, of course the entire tube is replaced. Sounds like a defective part material problem and/or faulty engineering requiring these hoses to flex beyond their ability and maintain their function over time.
Leaking of water filling up the floorboards on passenger front and back seats. Then while cleaning up the mess, discovered the trunk to be leaking as well. This is just the latest in things I've had go wrong with this car.
Water leak in b post of my Dodge Avenger 2008, fixed kink in hoses in the trunk but water is coming in from b post. Pretty bad too!
also had kinked hose line from sunroof. was getting 1/2" of water in passenger foot well during each heavy rain. dealership fix was to unkink the line.
