Sunroofs have many moving parts, and you normally have to partially disassemble it to determine what is wrong. I highly recommend you take this to an experienced mechanic, or If you don't have experience with sunroofs, then at the very least, get a good repair manual (www.alldatadiy.com) and learn how to remove, replace, adjust and set the timing on the sunroof.
