I have no headlights. The running lights stay on until the battery is disconnected.
I change all 4 shocks and rear wheel brake but it makes a scary sounds when I press the brake
Just bought this car and the speedometer cable says I'm going 110 when I'm going 40. It bounces all over the place.
pretty much when I'm driving I hear a dingling sound coming from what seems to be between engine and tranny. It started bout a week ago. Is this a transmission problem? If so what do I need to have fixed or replaced? Can you help me figure what it could be.
Won't shif sometimes. Stays on 3rd. Starts out in 3rd, won't shift manually, if with manual button pushed in. Feels like it's trying to downshift while it's stuck. Can't find a pattern, but it's happening more often. Checked fluid level
I own a 1993 Subaru Impreza L Sedan and if I put my car in park, the shift will get stuck and I have to fight with it in order to get it out. Does anyone know what would cause it to get stuck?

I usually take care of things myself but the problems I have now require tools I do not have. Basically the engine needs to be lifted to replace one leaky seal in my 93 Impreza. I do not want to spend a lot of money on this car. Any suggestions?
Coil pack and spark plugs would it be down to the 3 port boost solnoid

My car is Subaru Impreza 1993 AWD at about 150,000mls.
It’s been having a same problem ever since I purchased it about 4 years ago, but lately it’s getting worse.
The problem is gear won’t change smoothly. RPM goes up to 4,000 then the gear changes.
RPM doesn’t go up and down it just doesn’t change gear at normal RPM is all.
I would greatly appreciate your advices!

Before checking the transmission fluid should I drive the car to warm the transmission? should it be checked cold? should the engine idle for a few minutes before checking? Should the transmission be in reverse? Should the car be running?
