Disconnect the battery negative cable so you don't cause a short when you disconnect the main power cable at the starter. The starter is located at the bottom of the engine between the engine and bell housing so you may have to jack up and properly support the vehicle to gain access to the starter. Disconnect the main power wire and the wire bringing power down to the starter from the ignition switch. Remove the two bolts securing the starter to the transmission housing and remove the starter and starter shim plate. Assemble in reverse order. I believe the starter motor contacts and plunger on this starter can be replaced separately. Labor to replace is between .5 to .8 hours.
