Q: Stalling Stratus on 2004 Dodge Stratus

Our 2004 Dodge Stratus is in the shop for 2 weeks again. The car just shuts off while driving. Mechanic said (2) plugs were cracked and he changed those. The car ran ok but rough idle and very sluggish for one day then the next day starting dying again. It is doing it especially when you take your foot off the brake and turn the steering wheel. It also cuts off when you accelerate from a stopped position. It only has 40,000 miles on it and we are stumped, I'm seeing lots of posts from people with the same problem, but no solutions. The computer was showing random misc. misfire. So we thought it was the plugs again. Please help, this is the car my daughter in law drives with the baby and it is so dangerous for it to keep cutting off on her, I'm afraid she is going to get hit from behind with the baby in the car.

Check the idle air control valve. If it is clogged or faulty it will cause it to shut off.
