Squeaking sound on my Kia

(2007 Kia Sportage)
in Elmhurst, IL on July 25, 2010
After warming up I hear a squeaking sound from the rear passenger side of my Sportage (but it maybe the front). If I apply the breaks it stops. I took it to the dealer and they found nothing. The brakes were checked and they are all right.

Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem on my 2002. It had nothing to do with brakes etc.Drove me nuts
I finally figured it out - it was the rear hatch lock. I took the intrior panel off the hatch and giggle the metal connector bars around until I found it. Taped it up.

I am having the same issue what did you find and tape up? Why would the rear hatch make a squealing noise and stop when brake is applied?
