Speedometer works, but odometer and trip meter do not

(1991 Dodge D250)
I just bought this truck from someone who had it about a year. I can tell from the title that the the mileage has changed, but now the odometer and trip meter don't work. I'm pretty good with a meter. Any tips on troubleshooting the guage assembly?

If you have access to a Diagnostic scan tool, you can access the mileage information in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This should be a fairly good indicator of vehicle mileage providing the PCM was not replaced. Your vehicle speed sensor is located on the drivers side of the transmission tailshaft. This is the input for the Speedometer.
