Spark plug dripping oil, is that fatal?

car started missing, obd2 said #3 plug missing, I pulled it and its soaked in oil

Best to crank engine over a few times with spark plug removed to expel excessive oil from cylinder!

When the plug is removed - the surrounding oil drains into the cylinder - it needs to be expelled before new plug is installed.

Agree - properly installed valve cover gasket SET will cure this problem..

This is not a task even an experienced DIYer’s should undertake - 4.2L engine.

It could be from a valve cover grommet that's not sealing. There are 6 that go right around where the coil connects to the plug. You have to replace the valve cover gasket and remove the valve cover to get to these.
