Something broke in right rear wheel and truck started vibrating. what is it?

(1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500)
in Meridian, MS on November 09, 2014
I was driving down the road and something popped in right rear wheel and truck started vibrating real bad. I had to drive about 20 miles per hour rest of the way home. Before I pull it down has anyone had this problem before or got any idea what it could be?

CHOCK FRONT WHEELS!!... Jack rear up, trans in neutral... try to turn rear tires to see, hear & feel if any obvious problem... Possible brake issue 'including' park brake shoes INSIDE rotor.... Also check driveshaft/u-joints!!

thanks! I jacked it up and it is making a lot of noise in right rear. It scared me at first for I thought I might have broken an axle. I hope it is just the brakes or something came loose or broke. I thought I heard a piece of metal hit the hiway when it broke. Anyway thanks for your help!
