So recently my cruise went out and now no high beams light gauges don't work

(1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500)
Or my PRND321. I put a cruise fuse back in it but the cruise still didn't work then went back to my buds house and killed my truck and left it at his house then rode with a different friend to go somewhere then we came back and noticed my battery light was on and my PRND321 was light up but my headlights weren't on and the key was all the way in the off position. 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 new body style

Hello,
There is a good chance that your instrument cluster is failing. Very common with your generation of Chevy truck/SUV/GMC truck/SUV.

Digital data lines send the information to the cluster for which gear position it's in, and the ignition switch powers the various features of the cluster when in different positions.

I would say ignition switch is possible, but it isn't displaying all the warning lights while displaying the gear position information.

Since your complaint is not based around failing to properly display the selection, I think the signal is getting to the gauge cluster just fine.

This leaves the cluster as the first thing that should be tested.

You can test it by elimination by identifying the wires on the harness that plugs into the cluster, backprobing them (youtube that), and identifying if placing the ignition switch in separate positions sends power to the proper leads. If it does,, likely need to repair the cluster (not replace).

Test before you invest!!

I replaced the cruise fuse because I put one in it before it started happening and then when I did that all my gauges started working right besides my fuel gauge. Put 30 dollars into gas for my truck and it went to half of the first quarter. So either it’s the something behind the dash or I broke the harness that’s for the floater on top of the fuel pump kinda hope it’s just the floater. I’m not good with finding the problem but when I find the problem I can fix it. After a YouTube video with all honesty
