Slapping sound when applying brakes. What could cause this?

(2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara)
in Pensacola, FL on June 15, 2014
Recently installed new front brake pads. Now after driving a few miles, when applying brakes, there is a "slapping" type of sound. Noise seems to come from driver side front wheel area. What is the cause?

Couple of possibles. The rotor is warped and needs replaced. A brake caliper mounting bracket bolt is coming loose (if you removed it) or the brakeware clips are damaged or missing. Good luck!!!
