Shut down of interior, but not the engine...

(1999 Honda Odyssey)
Yesterday and again today, the radio shuts off, the maint req'd light comes on, and all the dash gauges fall and come back up. A quick thing, but it seems the car is dying, but it does not stop running. May dad is a mechanic and can fix whatever the problem is. If someone has a good clue where to start that would be awesome.

I would have your cluster, your body control and engine control modules scanned for error codes, (a parts store scan will not be any help). You need to see what is malfunctioning, if there aren't any codes, then you need to do live data scans of the various systems involved.
