Should I change the transmission fluid on my '99 Lexus LX470 with 276,000 miles

(1999 Lexus LX470)
in Birmingham, AL on July 30, 2012
I was told by one of the express oil companies that after 200,000 there was no need to change the transmission fluid....this has been a great vehicle and I hope to keep it much longer but I am feeling almost a drag in the rear end when I accelerate after a full stop

Transmission fluid contains detergents to help keep all solenoids and orifices clean. After 50k the detergents have depleted and a transmission service is recommended. At 200k if you change the fluid there is a very good chance that the detergents will loosen up some varnish or debris and cause a problem. I would not change the fluid at this point.
