When I step on the brakes or slow down my steering wheel vibrates. This happens all the time everyday. Do I need to check brake pads?

If the wheel vibration is felt only on moderate to severe braking it is likely that the brake rotors need to re machined or replaced. Braking produces heat which over time warp the brake rotors, some cars are more prone to warping the brake rotors or may be more problematic than others, driving conditions and braking habits play a big part here
