Based on past experiences - I'd bet on ignition coil - can be tested using ohm meter.

Use Google search to find resistance values for coil testing.

Need to confirm battery power to distributor with key on first - possible blown fuse.

(During Google search - Toyota Corolla is same - that'll give you more avenues for information)
