On February 10, 2016, Scion recalled 25,706 Scion FR-S. Toyota motor company (toyota) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 toyota scion fr-s vehicles manufactured march 13, 2012, to january 14, 2016 and equipped an automatic transmission and ignition key. vehicles with a push-to-start button are not affected. in the affected vehicles, it may be possible to remove the ignition key without the transmission being the "park" position. as such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 114, "theft protection and rollaway prevention."

The ignition key may be able to be removed from the ignition key cylinder when the transmission is not in the "Park" position. This would result in the potential of the vehicle rolling away unexpectedly, risking a crash and injury to occupants.

Recalls on your Scion must be performed by a Scion dealership. Scion notified owners of affected vehicles beginning in March, 2016. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Scion dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

Southeast Toyota is recalling certain 2010 - 2013 Toyota & Scion vehicles because the vehicle weight information label is incorrect. This recall applies to Toyotas sold in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North & South Carolina. 

Southeast Toyota will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning May 7, 2013. If you are not notified and feel you should have been, please contact your local dealer. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.
