On June 13, 2013, Saab recalled 193,652 Saab 9-7x. General motors (gm) is recalling certain model year 2006 chevrolet trailblazer ext and gmc envoy xl and 2006-2007 chevrolet trailblazer, gmc envoy, buick rainier, saab 9-7x, and isuzu ascender vehicles. fluid may enter the driver's door module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board. a short may cause the power door lock and power window switches to function intermittently or become inoperative. the short may also cause overheating, which could melt components of the door module, producing odor, smoke, or a fire.

Corrosion can develop in the driver's door electronic control module and cause the driver's door switches not to work.+

General Motors, Saab, & Isuzu will notify owners of the affected vehicles beginning July 24, 2013. If the power window and/or door switches in the driver's door are not working properly, or if an abnormal odor is noted, please contact your dealer. Additionally, you should also contact your dealer if you don't receive notification within a reasonable time and you feel you should have. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
