RING & PINON

MY RING AND PINON IS BAD i TRY TO GET ONE FROM DIFFERENT PLACES BUT THEY ARE ASKING ME FOR A NUMBER THAT IS LOCATE IN THE DIFFERENTIAL AND I CANT FIN IT CAN SOME ONE HELP ME PLEASE.

There's a little metal tag located on one of the rearend bolts usually on the rear cover, it tells what gear ratio the rear end is ( 355 or 373 or 411 ) If your truck is a 4 X 4 there will be a tag on the front also in the same location.

there is also inprinted on the ring gear if you spinn it there will be the same numbers on the ring as the tag from the factory

you can also count the gears on the pinion and the ring to get the ratio
