Reverse lights will not work

(1996 Ford Ranger)
in Houston, TX on January 12, 2010
It appears that all of my lights are working except for the reverse/backup lights. They were working fine until I had the alarm system removed. Whenever they removed the components of the alarm my lights stopped working. The alarm was basic, sound and flashing lights(nothing fancy). Where should i start?

Start by looking at all the affected wiring from the removal of the alarm, see if you see any issues with the wiring. Next, get a wiring diagram and diagnose the reverse light circuit, you may just have a bad reverse light switch, and is it possible it was bad before but you just checked after removing the alarm?
