Reverse gear doesnt function

I went to put my car in reverse, and it doesnt go in it. never had a problem with my car ever in the past

Wether your car is automatic or manual the problem is most likely going to require removing the transmission to repair. Have the car checked first in case it is something as simple as a transmission linkage problem or minor adjustment.

if you do a little research on the web, you'll find out this is a common problem on 3 series; at the end, you'll have to get your transmission repaired...I know mine had the job done by previous owner and cost was around $ 1500.00...reverse is working fine but makes a loud "clunk" noise sometimes when engaged from P so make sure yours doesn't after repair is made.
