How much would it cost to replace the Flex Plate on a 1990 Chevy Caprice Classic, V6 Auto Transmission

the plate is about 50 the labor is about 3.5 hours.

IT S REALLY NOT A HARD JOB TO DO YOURSELF YOUR LOOKING AT MAYBE 15 TO 20 BOLT TOTAL THAT ARE FAIRLY EAST TO GET TO EVEN IN YOUR DRIVEWAY WITH OUT A LIFTI WUOLD TRY THAT BEFORE BRINGING IT TO A SHOP

You need to be able to properly set the gap between the flexplate and the torque converter. I would seriously recommend getting a manufacturer's manual (NOT Chilton or Haynes) to get it done right. This is the kind of job that can easily go from 3.5 shop hours to 10 or 12 with lots and lots of additional parts.
