The man who worked on my car was talking on his phone most of the time. After I complained and he looked at me and shook his head. Completely unprofessional.

06/11/17

A good experience most of the time, but much more costly than the 2nd opinions that we have received based on their recommendations.

06/13/17

It is generally a nice experience. It was finished sooner than the guy said so that's always good.

Questions Answered by Precision Tune Auto Care - 055-17
We just replaced the water pump and after ...
I would either take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic for diagnostic. Spending any more money just replacing random parts is not the answer. You are now a crank sensor and an ignition control module into a water pump job and it still does not run. Finding an answer from mechanics without being able to look at or test anything will have you running in circles. I still think you have a security issue. But that being said I have no way to prove it or test it. Diagnostics run around 100.00 at most shops. A Mobile Locksmith with a computer to relearn/reprogram keys is around 100.00 if your shop can't. I would try one of those two options before buying any more parts. Sorry this isn't that helpful for the do it you self kinda guy with much respect for trying, but if you cant relearn the security or get into the PCM to pull a fault code you will be out more money without resolution. Good luck and keep posting. I want to know what fixes this car now lol. I'll keep answering questions to the best of my knowledge.
We just replaced the water pump and after ...
If you have checked the sensors already. Is there a chipped key or is the security lamp flashing. It may be the security system keeping it from firing.
rebuilt engine guts all new rings bearings...
Tough to make out what the actual problem is by the description. I'd be looking into a possible distributor issue. May not be much help but that's where i'd be looking even if it's new or newer.
Noise and clicking when turned on but it s...
Sounds like there could be a compressor issue. 2015 Depending on the mileage I would check with the dealership for warranty repair or at least the diagnostic if not covered for a baseline price tag before shopping around.
When I come to a stop the engine starts to...
First I'd say on a 2016 check with the dealership for warranty repair of any damaged components. Possible issue with compressor or could just feel rough because of a faulty engine mount at idle with normal engine vibration. Hope that helps.
what could the problem be my car is shakin...
Tough to call it without looking at the vehicle. A few ideas or places to think about. A clogged catalytic converter (might smell like rotten eggs) could be an issue. Locking up brake calipers would cause a pungent smell but i would think you would see some smoke from one of the wheels. It could also be running in some sort of limp mode. I would tow it into a shop for a proper diagnostic being the majority of the issues that it could be may increase the cost of the repairs that need to be made if left unattended. Not to mention engine failure or a safety concern. Hope that helps and good luck to you.
I need to replace the filters, but cannot ...
There will be different numbers from different companies that make filters for that car. I'll give you a few numbers you should be able to order from Advance auto parts. Engine air filter #A34838 you will need 2 of those. Cabin #89686 is already a 2 pack. Call ahead as some suppliers may not have them directly in stock. Good luck to you.
I purchased a 2006 Subaru Outback and have...
Flashing TPMS lamp usually indicates an active problem, most common cause would be a bad TPMS sensor in one of the wheels. Most shops should have a tool to scan your wheels to see if they are all reading properly. Beyond that I would check the spare tire just in case. Figure the battery in those sensors are 11 years old and may be intermittently failing. Alot of TPMS issues range from the sensors or their not being programmed to the car if they have been replaced with a universal sensor. Hope this helps.

I Would have it checked before replacement but on that car they are not too bad. I'd figure around 229.90. Less if the shop is using a re manufactured part. Good luck to you and don't let that go too long axles go bad a few ways the clicking noise means it's time.

What seems to make the problem better or ...
You more than likely have an emissions issue. not something that would leave you on the side of the road but an annoyance for state inspection and filling the tank. I would have to recommend a repair shop do a diagnostic to determine which part of that system needs replacement. Really rough idea on cost would be 2 to 4 hundred depending on parts. Hope that helps.
