Very professional shop

by - Verified Customer March 14, 2018

I went in for a oil change the worker told me my filter housing was bad and showed me what was wrong and/or damaged. The place that did my oil change last (was not sheboygan auto helpers) broke it and did not say anything and just put it back. Sheboygan auto helpers ordered a new one and had it there and done in like 25 minutes. I am very glad I went there cause other places would have lied or just wouldn't say anything. Very happy I went to SHEBOYGAN AUYO HELPERS

This is only my 2nd time bringing my car here for repairs but when I showed up I was greeted by name which means a lot. The price also ended up being much lower than I was quoted and the car was done in a relatively quick time

I brought in a 2008 Jeep. It was the kind of jeep you needed to just keep running for your kids. They spent a ton of time taking a bunch of pictures. Pictures don t tell a non-mechanic anything. I had to beg for an estimate. Which was so high it exceeded the value of the car. I was then charged for the time it took for them to take those pictures. I think I was treated unfairly partly because I was a woman.

Hi Carla, I'm sorry we didn't have good news for you regarding your vehicle. I apologize that we failed to meet your time frame for the estimate but it did, like you stated, need lots of work so it took a little longer to complete. I did review the notes from your visit and it appears like you brought it in for an alignment. Before we can do the wheel alignment the chassis gets inspected to make sure there is nothing loose/worn out. Loose and worn chassis parts can be a big safety concern, your vehicle had several issues. You paid for the inspection, which is the technicians time to go over your suspension, time to estimate repairs and provide you with the emailed inspection with pictures. The feedback we generally receive from our clients is that the pictures actually help them, but perhaps we failed in going over those in enough detail for you. I would like to discuss with you in further depth how you were treated. -Joe

Very thorough services and convenient pick-up and drop-off

by - Verified Customer January 19, 2018

I enjoyed the service in a crunch but did think it was a little overpriced. Had I had some time I could have found it cheaper. Sorry!!

Reply from Sheboygan Auto Helpers – by AutoSafetyCenter April 04, 2018

Hi Lisa, thanks for the feedback, we are glad that we were able to quickly service your vehicle. With more time, sometimes we can find more cost effective options for our customers, but they generally aren't as convenient and aren't always the best option.

Went straight to a friend at AH, felt I could trust his knowledge and capability to do what I needed. List of suggested repairs was helpful but not forced, and that was a good feeling.

Sheboygan Auto Helpers has a very nice, experienced staff. Their diagnostic tools, which include detailed pictures of various aspects of your vehicle, are very detailed and helpful. I've already used them 3-5 times and they've only charged for the necessary work...not for diagnosing something. They pick up my car from work and drop it off when complete so is an amazing option.

by - Verified Customer November 02, 2017

Everything was great, performed the oil change, suggested future areas on the car to watch for.

by - Verified Customer November 02, 2017

The service was very good once again. I would definitely recommend to anybody.

Great customer service!

by - Verified Customer October 16, 2017

I made an appointment because I was experiencing steering wheel vibrations. I was told it was because of rusty rotors and that I would need new brakes. I recently took my car to a different shop, and I ended up needing a new lower ball joint. I am very disappointed that this wasn't found when I took my car to Sheboygan Auto Helpers as it is a very major issue and could have caused more damage if I kept driving without it being repaired.

by - Verified Customer October 15, 2017

Tried to oversell service that wasn't needed or asked for.

by - Verified Customer October 12, 2017

Service was fast and thorough. Sent an email with what needs to be completed on my vehicle. Also included pictures of worn parts on my car.

by - Verified Customer October 12, 2017

Appointment was scheduled and work was finished in a timely manner. Friendly and professional service. Would highly recommend.

by - Verified Customer October 11, 2017

Excellent service! So helpful in getting multiple repairs completed on my car in one day. Great communication throughout the day on updates to the service process and the email of detailed basic maintenance on my car was terrific...including the photos.

by - Verified Customer October 05, 2017

Work that was done was great. Time was awesome. Service was great also.

by - Verified Customer October 04, 2017

Friendly and helpful.

by - Verified Customer October 04, 2017

They are great people to work with. The email with pictures of what needs to be beforehand is great and really lets you know they are honest.

by - Verified Customer September 27, 2017

They did excellent work in a very timely manner!

by - Verified Customer September 26, 2017

They picked up my car and dropped it back off at my employer. It was great! They also provided a great summary of what work they completed and what they recommended to be fixed. They provided a phone call to summarize the document and weren't at all pressuring me to get anything done. I also am thankful and impressed that they include God in their business!

by - Verified Customer September 17, 2017

Service was fast, friendly and at a good price point.

by - Verified Customer September 10, 2017

My muffler was making noise so I went to Auto Helpers in Sheboygan and they took it right in and checked it out for me. While they were working on my car, they gave me a loaner for the hour they worked on my car. They were very polite and knowledgeable.

by - Verified Customer September 05, 2017

The service was very good.

by - Verified Customer September 05, 2017

The brake repairs appear to be adequate, the the price charged was around twice the estimate. Thant's a big problem!

by - Verified Customer August 16, 2017

Very pleasant people to deal with. Very through w/ their service.

by - Verified Customer August 03, 2017

Excellent written summary & pictures of what I needed to have repaired. Went out of their way to help me out with keeping costs down as much as possible, knowing I was on a budget.

by - Verified Customer August 02, 2017

The front desk guy, Mark, was really great and very helpful. Kip did a good job on my car too!

by - Verified Customer July 24, 2017

I had a free oil change done here and specifically told them NOT to open my driver's side window. They did and it got stuck open. After the mechanic "tried" to fix it (I'm pretty sure he just did things to make it look like he was fixing it) the owner of the shop told him to stop spending time on it because it was only a free only change anyway. I had a friend come fix it and he had it fixed in 15 mins, where the "mechanic", and I use that term lightly, had been working on it longer than that and couldn't even figure out how to get my door panel off. I will NEVER return nor will I recommend them to anyone. If that's how they treat the people that they are trying to get as new customers I'll go elsewhere. Thank you very much.

by - Verified Customer July 17, 2017

I have recommended this shop already I will be using it on a regular bases for my car care.

by - Verified Customer June 22, 2017

(!) Typically means that you have a low tire. Check your tire pressure and make sure they are inflated to your vehicle specs (not what the sidewall states, as that is just the max pressure) You can find your vehicle tire pressure specs by looking for a placard on the drivers door jamb which will tell you the pressure to run in all the tires. Sometimes the placard is located on the drivers side rear door jamb so look there too. My tire guide states that the pressure for all Murano tires under 20" diameter is 33 psi Front and rear, 20" tires require 34 psi front and rear, but it's always best to reference the placard or owners manual.

A thorough suspension inspection should be performed to determine if you can replace just the rear shocks or other components in combination with the shocks. We have seen the rear shocks (specifically the air shocks) fail at a faster rate then the front struts. We have replaced just the rear shocks several times after inspecting the suspension, with no side effects in ride or safety.

Low range normally means a lower gear set you can use in 4 wheel drive. It limits your top speed quite a bit and is not meant for street use. Most 4X4 vehicles will have a 4x4 low range switch on the dash, I noticed this is a Cadillac CTS is it all wheel drive?
Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission? I would start with making sure it is at the correct level. My intial reaction is an internal transmission problem, but without actually feeling what you are describing, it is hard to say.

I would check the warranty (if any) on the last transmission. I am uncertain of the "remodeled" term. If you mean remanufactured I would think it should be under some type of warranty.

The easy answer would be to stick the Toyota recommended intervals. I also agree wholeheartedly that maintenance is PROACTIVE which allows you to budget your expenses. It also allows you to schedule and take care of things at your convenience. Being REACTIVE is many times more expensive and way more inconvenient. Have a Great Day!

You are probably correct that the 4wd is not working. I would suggest taking it in to have it diagnosed. It could be several things from the switch, 4x4 control module, or shift motor just to name a few.
