They are very thorough. They are economical, but they don't skimp to save money. They explain what they're doing. My car is always fixed and they are very fair. I don't know. It's pleasant and I get my car fixed. They're fun. I've been taking my car there for over ten years so I know them very well. That's all I've got for you right now.

Just bought a used 2007 Toyota Highlander ...
When ever you get that kind of warning you should get it looked at as soon as possible. Since you just bought the car it should go back to the business that sold you the car. If all they do is sales they may not be equipped to check it over but should accept responsibility to get it fixed for you.
Unfortunately there really are no "typical costs" for a head gasket replacement on your Subaru.The variables once the heads are removed are many. Depending on what you find it could lead to a complete valve job. Once it is apart timimg belt/ water pump replacement is often a needed option. We have had the job run from around $2500 all the way to $4500.Find someone who you trust, communicate often and be prepared to spend more than you hoped for.
