This was my first time using Wentworth Automotive. I would definitely return for future car problems. They did a complete evaluation of my vehicle and recommended the most urgent repairs and conducted the repairs in a timing manner. Their shop and office were very clean and well organized. More information would be helpful. When it doesn't start does it just click, or does it crank over and just not start? It will probably be best to take into a shop and have it checked out to find the problem quickly. The more information you have for them will help reduce the time it will take to diagnose the problem.

More than likely you will need to replace the engine. Without having it in the shop it is hard to say for sure but holes in the engine are never good.

As with all fluids in your car power steering fluid can break down and not work as well as when it was new. Changing the power steering fluid is a good maintenance item. It will help extend the life of the power steering pump as well as the steering rack. However, it is a maintenance item so it isn't anything that will cause you to break down.

If the noise is louder when cold then I would agree you might have an exhaust manifold gasket leak or possibly a cracked manifold. It would be a good idea to check the oil level, if it gets low it can cause the lifters to make noise. Either way it is best to get it checked out especially if the oil is low it would be good to determine where the oil is going.
