I had my well maintained C300 4Matic with ...
clear the code out and drive the car a few days to see if it comes back. you will need to drive anyway to get it to pass its monitors after clearing the code.also your going to need to smog it when you sell it. It will not pass smog with a check engine light on or if the monitors are not passed. If you can't clear the code on your own, swing by Street Tech Auto Care and we will clear it for you for free. If the code comes back then you will need a proper diagnostic to isolate the problem, we also can help you with that if you need it.
The car of 2005 altima. Dies at a stop. Wh...
I dont think you have a timing belt! That should be a chain car. 2005 altima's are either 2.5 or 3.5 engines and both those are chain motors. As for your dies at stops, I would assume you have other symptoms associated with it, i.e. check engine light, stumbling or hesitations, overheating, engine noises. The stall out could be related to a lot of problems so what other symptoms do you have?
Replaced brake pads and cleaned the sensors.
you need to pull the codes to get more help from internet sources, I will tell you that the HVAC module can get loose change fall into it and cause your symptoms. Usually you will have com, can or bus codes associated with it. I would guess the check engine light is on as well. A lot of places will pull the codes for free , ( we certainly do at Street Tech Auto Care), and then you can do better homework on your own or decide to pay for some help. HTH
Does the brain to the car have to be reset...
did you replace the trans yourself ? If a shop did it then they should look at it for free to prove that their trans is not the fault, and at least advise you of what needs to be done if not fix it. to answer your question, if the programming was the problem then I would expect the symptoms to be consistent but you stated sometimes. Need more information on the exact symptoms and when they occur.
I was told I need to get my abs brake repa...
it sounds like you have an abs light coming on. If that is true then you need a shop to look into the codes and trace affected circuits. then if you want to repair it yourself you will know what to replace. Generally speaking you should be looking at $125 to $160 . at a reputable shop.
My coolant is dripping out of an area arou...
I agree with pushrod, and you need to be very careful ( especially in this heat) that you dont have air in the cooling system as you can hurt your engine and cost yourself a lot more money than necessary. I dont know what part of town your in but Street Tech Auto can test your cooling system for as little as $60. I would recommend you get a professional to look into it soon.
My car didn't pass CA's snap test ...
he means oil rings. In order to replace oil rings you are talking about overhauling the entire engine. If you want to try some home remedies ( may or may not work), you can try full synthetic oil (they say it doesn't smoke). Also clean and/or replace pcv and breather system. Also a thorough fuel injection system service to clean existing oil deposits in intake or exhaust. Maybe a can of Restore in the crankcase. Now that said that is a lot to just pass a snap test especially if it doesn't work. NONE of these will fix your oil consumption problem if your rings are bad.
Hope this was helpful
not sure what to look at next
first of all you need to verify inputs to the egr, do you have good vacuum? when you activate the egr = does the engine stumble or stall? I have seen a few map sensors affect egr systems and codes. Gm has some reprograms for this system as well. Dont forget to measure exhaust pressure as well as that could set this code. Hope this helps
how fast how long what speed what gear wha...
every drive cycle is different for each monitor, if you want you can swing by Street Tech Auto Care and I will see which monitors have not passed for free. Normal driving with some freeway miles will get you through most. Also I have seen fuel levels affect monitors . . the trick is to simply keep the fuel below 3/4 and above 1/4.
What could be the problem? And can a girl ...
I assume you meant that you did a brake fluid flush and the left rear now has fluid leaking? If you performed the fluid flush by opening the bleeders at each wheel, then you should simply have a problem with the left rear bleeder not sealing. remove and inspect the bleeder screw and reinstall after cleaning both sides, good idea to get someone to help with a LITTLE pressure while you reinstall the bleeder fitting. then re bleed at each wheel Starting with right rear. Dont forget to top off the fluid repeatedly as needed while bleeding. When done, rinse everything with water that got brake fluid on it. HTH . or you could bring it by the shop and have us do it for you.
