So far still have the original problems with my vehicle that I brought it in for. Paid a lot of money and it dosent feel like I've gotten any actual work done. Asked to keep the parts for me and they said they threw them out. So no proof of work.

I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the work that was done on my car. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who might need repairs done on their vehicle. I will also continue to use this shop for future repairs.

Questions Answered by Done With Care Auto Repair
Lost power and compresssion
A loss of compression wouldn't necessarily be correlated to a loud exhaust. Is this vehicle a 4 cylinder? 6 Cylinder? Is the vehicle hesitating or running rough?
If it is running rough at HIGH RPM's and not low RPM's, you're most likely misfiring. Have a shop do a "Cylinder Contribution Test" and see which cylinder is causing your problem. Then diagnose the faulty cylinder accordingly.

The most common cause of high RPM misfires on this vehicle are the ignition coils or problems in the VVT system.

Good luck!
The only sure way to repair this is to replace both fuel pump modules with high quality (preferably OE) assemblies at the same time. After the late 80's, Ford stopped using a valve to switch between tanks. Instead, when a module is energized, the dormant module keeps from receiving fuel through a valve. If the module is energized, fuel is allowed to return. However, if the module is not supplying fuel, it is not supposed to receiving any returning fuel.

The problem occurs when only one module gets replaced. This overwhelms the older (and often faulty) module. Thus the new pump starts pushing fuel into the older module as well as the truck.
Pressure solenoids are tricky. They're often condemned as faulty when in reality, there is something else going on.

Verifying their failure involves exposing them, checking for current to the solenoids, and then checking for their operation while they're exposed. This type of testing will cost a bit of money, but will save you from replacing them unnecessarily.
the performance restricted warning come on...
Have the trouble codes checked that are stored in the PCM. You most likely have a misfire code.

The most common cause of a misfire on the S-Type is a bad ignition coil.
