Took much longer than expected. Could have done a better job (left something stuck in breaks that made a funny noise but isn't dangerous)

Medfor Auto Service went out of their way for me. Thank you Medford. I can't say how the work was as yet, it is too soon to know due to the nature of the Hybred and the battery!

During a trip to Oregon for a family wedding and vacation, my Suburban's Service Engine Soon light activated and the engine began performing poorly. We barely made it over the Siskiyou mountain range to our hotel. Since we had come from California, I knew nothing of the automotive repair shops in the area. I used Yelp to search for a reliable shop. I found Medford Automotive Service Center with glowing 5-star reviews. I called and spoke to Stephanie (the Service Advisor). I explained my dilemma to her and she didn't hesitate to say she would work me into her already busy schedule. When I got to the shop, I could see that they were very busy. I also saw that the shop was clean and well organized. In speaking with Stephanie, I found her to be extremely pleasant and accommodating. She said she would have a Technician run a full diagnostic on my Suburban as soon as possible. Due to their busy schedule and the time it would take to do the diagnostic on my vehicle, Stephanie told me my vehicle would probably be there all day and since it was a Friday, it would most likely be there through Monday or Tuesday. Not having access to another vehicle, Stephanie had one of her Technicians give me a ride back to my hotel. During the ride, I had a brief conversation with the Technician, Francisco. He too was very pleasant and accommodating. He spoke highly of Medford Automotive Service Center and said he enjoyed working there because the owner and staff take very good care of their employees and their customers. Francisco ended up being the Technician who worked on my vehicle. He road-tested my Suburban and hooked it up to their diagnostic computer. In addition to the problems he found during the road test, the computer reported multiple discrepancy codes. Francisco spent the majority of that Friday researching the codes to determine exactly what needed to be done to correct the problems. After Francisco had completed his research, he gave a detailed report to Stephanie who in turn called me and told me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. She pointed out the repairs that needed to be corrected immediately and the repairs that could wait until I got back home. She provided detailed estimates and left it up to me to decide which repairs I want completed at that time. With no pressure from Stephanie, I decide to have them correct all of the problems they had found. They did fantastic work and even stayed after hours to work on my vehicle to get it back to me as quickly as possible. In my many years of dealing with automotive repair shops, this was by far the best experience ever - from start to finish. Their prices were fair and their customer service was exceptional. They were extremely attentive to my needs and their finished product was top notch. I would highly recommend Medford Automotive Service Center to my friends and family. Thank you so much Stephanie and Francisco, you are the best.

My brother's truck developed problems after traveling from Portland for a visit. We called early Monday morning and were taken in as soon as we got there. Although they were short on techs that day they got to us asap. Repairs were thoroughly explained, time given for repairs were better than expected. I personally have been doing business with Medford Auto as well as several friends and once again they rose to the occasion.

Questions Answered by Medford Automotive Service Center
When I'm Driving I Can Feel This Tugging Like Sensation From Underneath My Car. on 2001 Ford Focus
The tug sensation could be caused by a failing fuel pump, restricted fuel filter or an ignition system problem causing the engine to loose power. A fuel pressure test can be performed under the conditions described to determine if there is a lack of fuel pressure, replacing the fuel filter is always a good start. Have the tune up checked and have the computer read for any trouble codes.
We Are Going Through A Quart Of Oil Every 100 To 150 Miles. There Is No Oil Stain on 1997 Geo Tracker
If the engine is not leaking the oil, it is eating the oil. Common areas to inspect is the PCV system, a faulty valve can draw more oil vapors from the crankcase than normal. The piston oil control rings can get gummed up causing too much oil to remain on the cylinder walls and will be consumed in the combustion cycle. The intake valve stem seals and the exhaust valve stem seals can also leak too much oil and be consumed in the combustion cycle. Sometimes inspecting the spark plugs can give some indication of how the oil is being consumed.
Single Click Will Not Start Have Oil Pressure Light On Why???? on 2006 Ford Taurus
The oil pressure light coming on with the engine running is an indication that the oil pressure is too low, driving with the oil light on can cause internal damage to the engine. The lack of lubrication from oil pressure can cause the engine to stop rotating and the engine dies. When trying to start the engine, the starter can not rotate the engine and will only make a lick sound.
I Have A Loud Pop Coming From Front Axle In 4wd Only. What Could Be Causing This on 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD
Just a though, the transfer case is a possibility. Making the noise in 4wd hi or low could be caused by a failing chain inside the transfer case. In 2wd the chain is not under any load.
Shifts Bad Upshifting Into Higher Gears And Transfer Case Won't Shift Into 4by4 on 1998 Ford Ranger
Sounds like this Ranger has a transmission problem and a transfer case problem. The transmission is controlled by the PCM and does not have the old style shift module. The transfer case is also operated electronically. It is time to have the computer codes read and inspect the transmission and transfer case to identify the root cause of the shifting problems.
Driving Along All Of A Sudden , Car Not In Gear, I Give It Has , No Power . on 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan
The symptom described indicates a possible low fluid level or internal transmission failure. Check the transmission fluid level to verify it is full and check the condition of the fluid. Transmission fluid should be a translucent Red color. If the fluid is dark or has a burnt smell, it is time to have the transmission inspected to verify what has failed.
Yellow Engine Light Just Came One. What's The Problem? on 2000 Jaguar S-Type
The check engine light is indicating a problem and will need the computer codes read to identify the next step in diagnosing the problem. Unfortunately the owners manual will not have any information other than to take the vehicle to the dealership for service.
In The 95 Previa Sc Where Do Most Intake Leaks Occur
on 1995 Toyota Previa
Most leaks are found where a gasket has failed or where a rubber hose has failed. A visual inspection is a great start, next use a smoke machine to fill the intake to identify where the leak is and last have it inspected by a professional.
Do All The P/U's Have The Wcm Even If It Didn't Have A Remote Key Fob on 1994 Dodge Ram 1500
Many of the early Dodge 1500 did not have a WCM, most of the modules are located close to the steering column and are connected by a few wires going to the ignition switch key antenna that reads the signals from the security chip in the key.
My Fricken A/C !! on 1995 Volkswagen Golf
We have seen this problem before and have found many different reasons, failed compressor clutch coil, wiring problems to faulty pressure switches. Might be time to take it to an expert to be checked out.
