They did a good job. Will go back.
We were told many items needed replacement and lots of body work needed to be done before the car could be inspected. They told us untruths and were going to charge $2000 for unneeded work. Our findings have been proven by an honest mechanic. I would never recommend ACARS to anyone. They are on par with VIP.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and bringing your concerns to my attention. We value your opinion. I have reviewed both your repair estimate and digital inspection. All of the items that were brought to your attention, were items required for a state inspection. At Al’s Certified Auto Repair we have both a legal and moral obligation to make you aware of items that could have an impact on your safety. I can not comment on the type of work any other shops do, I can only hope that they adhere to the Maine State Inspection Laws. If you would like to come by and have one of our ASE certified AAA approved technicians go over the items we found and answer any questions you may have, we would be happy to do so. We believe in educating our customers and providing them with all of the information they need to make informed decisions as you have been experiencing since 2013.

Great experience, they had my van back to me in under a week. I had it go in with electrical issues.

Bill thank you very much for taking the time to complete the survey pertaining to your most recent visit with us. We pay very close attention to ale of the reviews from our customers. I have researched your repair and found that your vehicle was diagnosed by one of ASE certified Master Technicians and the repair was recommended to you. The service adviser reviewed the repair recommendation and costs involved: as always, we do not begin any repairs without your authorization. The repairs needed to your vehicle required some parts that were a little pricey. When dealing with the air bag system, I hope you would agree, that the parts need to be of a superior quality. We installed the parts that we know will work when you need them most. I wish you the very best and hope that you understand: Our unwavering commitment to a quality repair are for the safety and protection of you, your family and all involved. Thank you again for taking th etime to review us.

The customer service was great
Good work done in a timely manner. Thorough, but not excessive. The shuttle to work is massively helpful.
This is the friendliest auto repair facility I have ever been in. Right from the start they treat you like family. The car was fixed as promised and ready when they said it would be. Their shuttle took me home and brought me back when my car was ready. Prices were within quoted price..a little less actually. Very good overall experience! Excellent service!
I'm satisfied with the work but feel I paid way too much. The most I'ver ever paid previously for a brake job was $800 and ACAR charged $1,235. So I'm afraid I won't be back.

Peter thank you for taking the time to let us know about your most recent visit to our shop. I am pleased to read that you found our workmanship to be up to you satisfaction. I know that our service advisers go over the estimate and scope of work required to repair the vehicle, before we do any repairs. It is not until we receive approval of the estimate that any work is performed. I am sorry you felt the pricing was a little high; however, our work is covered by a 3 year 36,000 miles nationwide warranty. We feel we offer great value and reasonable prices for our quality service performed by our ASE certified AAA approved technicians. Thank you again for you response.

Excellent service. I'll be a repeat customer. Already sent you customers.
This is the best, cleanest auto place I have ever been. I was very impressed with how much time they spent explaining things. Oh, and the little corgi was a great touch!
Had brake work done. 2 days later the brakes are sqeaking on backing up and there is a metallic jingle noise at times while driving.
What a wonderful experience. They explained everything and made it clear that I could ask any question without judgement. The work was done quickly and professionally. Thank you!
I, perhaps, would have like a more detailed explanation of the repair work.
Service was great as it always is.

Question Answered by Al's Certified Auto Repairs, A.C.A.R.
Does The 2006 Honda Ridgeline Have An Ignition Key With A Computer Chip In It? on 2006 Honda Ridgeline
It certainly could cause it not to start. If you have the end of the key hold on to the ignition key while turning the vehicle may start then. There is piece behind the key slot that picks up the key code and then allows the vehicle to start. If your hold the broken end in place it should read the key code. You can also have the key copied to a writable key blank as well. Then there is no need to reprogram the vehicle
