While I was visiting Buffalo from Florida, a turn signal bulb in my BMW burned out, requiring an immediate replacement. I called around for help, and Amherst Automotive offered me a very fair price and a next-day appointment (they needed to obtain the bulbs from BMW and it was already late in the afternoon). In fact, the price I was quoted was so fair, that I asked them to replace all four turn signal bulbs. When I arrived for my appointment, I was treated courteously and professionally. The service I requested was completed promptly and the price I paid was exactly what I was quoted. The treatment I received from Amherst Automotive was first-rate, at least as good as the service I have received in the past from BMW dealerships, maybe better than some. I was a very happy customer and I would not hesitate to recommend Amherst Automotive to all of my friends and family.

I have been taking my vehicle to be repaired or serviced here since I first purchased it. The work performed is always done right and they work with my extended warranty company which makes it easier on me. They are very good about explaining work performed or work that may need to be done in the future.

Vehicles have different "monitors" or computer tests that are run within the software of the vehicles "computer" called the engine control module. These test look at different parameters from sensors on the engine and sometimes transmission during manufacturer defined driving conditions. These tests can either pass, fail, or be incomplete. Usually driving the vehicle within these parameters will cause the tests to either pass or fail. If they pass you are good to go for your inspection if they fail a check engine light is illuminated and code stored in the engine control module and you can read the code and from there diagnose the problem.
