Q: remote not locking doors and alarm on 2000 Porsche 911

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
My remote on my key does not activate the locking of my doors and alarm any longer, when I push the remote button, the led on the key remote lights up and the dash led also blinks several times, but the car doors do not lock and the alarm is not on, so I lock the doors manualy with my key on the door lock and when I turn the key the doors lock and a one beep sound comes, what is the solution for my remote to work again? THX for the help

Sorry to see you didn't get some help with this. Were you able to figure out how to get the remote working again? Was it a bad battery?
I believe the next step would be to connect a scan tool and read out all the codes in the vehicle. There are only a few places that have the appropriate equipment to do this, so you'll need to take it to a Porsche repair facility. I would also ask them to look at Technical Service Bulletins for Porsche, there may be related info that will help address this.
Good Luck
still no solutions/answer to this problem yet, it is not the remote battery, i think when i lock manually with the key the car should not make a beep, if it makes a beep is it because there is an open door/hood/ trunck/open alarm contact or what?
I have the same problem and did a web search to find out if there was a fix and thus found your inquiry. Did you find a solution that you could share?
found that it was coming from the ingnition key mecanism this was replaced and its all good, of course $500 later
