Remote mirror driver's side

What causes the remote mirror on the driver's side to not stay at the position programmed....

Your Mirrors have sensors which indicate to the Mirror, Heated Seat Memory Module (MHSMM) that indicates where the actual location of the mirror is. If a memory position is set, the values of the potentiometers at that location are stored in memory. In your case either you have a defective mirror assembly of a defective Module. I recommend a visit to your local Chrysler dealership.
