Seat Bolts Loosen And Fracture

Recall Details

The bolts that secure the seat recliner to the seat frame may loosen, fatigue and fracture, causing the seat back to recline suddenly. Dealers will remove all foam and fabric sandwiched between the recliner and frame, install washers between them, and install new bolts, tightening them to a higher torque specification free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The bolts that secure the seat recliner to the seat frame can loosen and break, causing the seat back to recline suddenly, possibly inspiring a loss of vehicle control.

What Should You Do?
