Chrysler Recalls 1994 Dodge Rams Due to Possible Fuel Spill After Collision

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled certain 1994 Dodge Ram 1500/2500 models because there is an increased risk of fuel spill in the event of a rear-end collision. In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak may result in a fire. Dealers will strengthen the left frame rail by installing a frame rail reinforcement bracket.

Consequence
CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THE VEHICLES HAVE AN INCREASED RISK OF A FUEL SPILL IN THE EVENT OF A REAR END COLLISION.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL STRENGTHEN THE LEFT FRAME RAIL BY INSTALLING A FRAME RAIL REINFORCEMENT BRACKET.
