Chrysler Recalls 1993 Grand Cherokees Due to Liftgate Problem

Recall Details

Chrysler has recalled 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokees because when the grease was applied to the liftgate latch rubber bumpers to ease component assembly, it caused the bumper to swell. This may prevent the liftgate from latching when closed and make it difficult to open when latched. If the liftgate opens when the car is in motion, an occupant could fall out. Dealers will replace the liftgate assembly on affected vehicles.
