Lowered Floor Vehicles Experience Wheel Wobble From Axle Movement

Recall Details

For lowered floor vehicles as modified by Vantage Mobility International, the rear pinion bracket on both sides of the vehicle may crack, resulting in axle movement. This would cause a wheel wobble that could lead to loss of vehicle control. Dealers will replace the pinion brackets free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Chrysler must be performed by a Chrysler dealership. Vantage Mobility International will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler dealerships, or contact VMI directly at 1-800-488-9082. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

Vantage Mobility International, LLC (VMI) is recalling certain 2017 Chrysler Pacifica lowered floor vehicles modified by VMI. The rear pinion bracket on both sides of the vehicle may crack, causing the axle not to be centered and the wheel to wobble.
A wheel wobble may cause a possible loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
VMI will notify owners, and dealers will replace the pinion brackets, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 21, 2017. Owners may contact VMI customer service at 1-800-488-9082. VMI's number for this recall is PAC20170728.
