For vehicles modified for wheelchair access by Vantage Mobility International, the rear brake lines may have been crossed during modification. Dealers will correct the rear brake line attachments free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Chrysler must be performed by a Chrysler dealership. Vantage Mobility will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in July, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

Summary
Vantage Mobility International, LLC (Vantage Mobility) is recalling certain 2017 Chrysler Pacifica lowered floor vans modified by Vantage Mobility for wheelchair accessibility. The affected vans have rear brake lines that might have been crossed during the modification. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
Consequence
The crossed rear brake lines will cause the rear anti-lock brake system to be ineffective, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Vantage Mobility will notify owners, and dealers will correct the rear brake line attachments, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 7, 2017. Owners may contact Vantage Mobility customer service at 1-800-488-9082. Vantage Mobility's number for this recall is Pac-20170525.
