Our Quick Take

The notifications printed on the sun visor, dashboard and within the owner's manuals provide incorrect information about what air bags the vehicle is equipped with. The incorrect statement shows that the vehicle is equipped with frontal driver and passenger advanced air bags, when this is not the case. With erroneous information, provided, occupants may position themselves to the vehicle air bags in ways that can increase risk of injury.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
