Catalytic Converter Melts Left Side Under Body Panel

Recall Details

The left side catalytic converter may be located too close to the under body composite panel, possibly causing it to melt. Dealers will inspect and replace the under body composite panel as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The left side catalytic converter, a part of the exhaust system that gets extremely hot during normal vehicle operation, may be located too close to the composite under body panel of the vehicle. This could cause the panel to melt, and increases risk of a vehicle fire.
